Recommended System Requirements
Both PC and Mac:
- Minimum 1GHz Processor or faster
- Minimum of 512MB of RAM.
- Minimum of 5GB of free space on hard drive.
- Working Network Interface Card (NIC).
- Category 5, 5e, or 6 patch cable.
PC:
- Pentium III or better
- Windows XP or Vista
- An antivirus with a valid subscription
- Open slot for the ethernet card, if one is not already installed**.
Mac:
- iMac or better.
- Mac OS X or higher.
- Ethernet capabilities. A USB NIC will be required if your computer does not have one.
**If you do not have an ethernet card in a desktop computer and you do not feel confident about installing it yourself (they are fairly easy to install if you feel comfortable with disassembling your computer), either take your computer to a vendor to have one of the approved network cards installed, or have a friend help you. Laptop PCMCIA cards are easy to install yourself, or if you prefer we can help you with them. You may look in the phone book under "Computers-Dealers" for a vendor to install the card.
Note: Do not buy cheap or inexpensive ethernet cards. We have had troubles with cheap cards not functioning properly.
