Faculty Interaction Program

• By signing up to be a participant in our Faculty Interaction Program for our first year communities, faculty members make themselves available a couple of times a semester to come into the Residence Halls, or our Dining Commons, and talk about things that are of interest to them and that they believe would be of interest to students. These things can be discussed in formal or informal interactions with our residence hall students. Benefits of singing up for the Faculty Interaction Program include: gaining a greater understanding and appreciation for traditional first-year students, having the opportunity to share with others those things about which you are passionate, having the opportunity to have access to a student population for possible research interests, having a better understanding of the residential environment for students at UNLV, and getting an opportunity to dine with a floor of students in the Dining Commons.

Leadership Project Application

• Leadership is a process, not a position. Be part of the process by joining the premiere leadership opportunity for first year student living on-campus at UNLV. Students living on The Leadership Project floor community will learn how to make a difference both on and off campus. Participants will experience what it means to be a leader at UNLV by participating in an introductory leadership retreat, interactions with campus and community leaders, exposure to hands-on leadership development skills, and optional involvement with the President s Leadership Certificate Program.
